Aggregates

Gravel, River Rock and Aggregates in Mississauga
Aggregate by the cubic yard from the yard at 6000 Ninth Line, for driveways, paver base, drainage and garden beds. Collect it yourself or have it delivered across the GTA.
Which aggregate goes under interlock?
Two layers do the work. A compacted base of crushed stone carries the load and stops the surface settling. A thin setting bed of limestone screening goes on top, which is what you level the pavers into. Screening is also sold as stone dust or screenings; all three names describe the same material.
Clear stone or crusher run?
It depends whether you want water to pass through or the material to lock up. Stone with the fines washed out drains freely, so it suits weeping tile, window wells and behind retaining walls. Crusher run keeps the fines in, so it compacts and knits together, which is what a driveway or patio base needs. Tell us the job at the yard and we will point you at the right pile.
River rock, pea gravel and decorative stone
River rock is rounded, tumbled stone. It works as a mulch substitute, as a dry creek bed, or as a border that will not blow away or break down. Unlike bark mulch it never needs topping up. Pea gravel is the smaller, smoother option for pathways and between stepping stones. Our river rock landscaping guide covers sizing and edging in more detail.
How much aggregate does a cubic yard cover?
A cubic yard is 27 cubic feet. That spreads to 108 square feet at three inches deep, 81 square feet at four inches, or 54 square feet at six inches. Driveway bases usually want the deeper end of that range. Bring your measurements and we will work the quantity out with you.
Do you deliver aggregate across the GTA?
