Are outdoor pot lights the same as recessed lights?

Yes. Pot light is the common Canadian name for a recessed fixture. Outdoors it usually means an inground or deck-mounted light that sits flush with the surface. Everything on this page is that style of fixture, so if you have been searching for exterior pot lights, this is the range.

Where do inground and recessed lights work best?

Driveways and walkways take them along the edges, clear of a car door or a snow shovel. Steps and low walls take them in the riser or the cap, marking the edge without a visible fitting. Planting beds take them under a tree or close to a wall so the light grazes upward. Because nothing protrudes, they stay clear of mowers and foot traffic.

What inground and recessed lights do you stock?

The in-lite recessed range covers 15 fixtures. It includes the Luna, Evo Ground, Nero, Flux, Hyve, Fusion, and Puck families in black and stainless finishes. The Kichler in-ground range adds 6 brass fixtures with trims, cowls, and louvres for aiming light where you want it. Both brands run at 12 volts, so they share the same power system.

What does a recessed lighting run need?

A transformer, cable, and connectors. The transformer steps household power down to 12 volts. That is safer to work with and simpler to extend later when you add fixtures.
